LibreDB Studio is an open-source database editor designed to be deployed close to the data it manages, as a container, Helm chart, Kubernetes operator, one-click PaaS template, or embedded via npm, rather than run as a desktop client that must tunnel or open a port to reach the database. It presents a single explorer, ER diagrams, schema diff, and monitoring across sixteen supported engines: PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, SQLite, libSQL, DuckDB, MongoDB, Redis, Couchbase, ClickHouse, Druid, Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, Trino, and Cassandra. The SQL IDE is built on the Monaco editor (the same core as VS Code) with schema-aware autocomplete and a command palette. Beyond browsing and querying, it includes a read-only AI agent that can be pointed at Gemini, OpenAI, or a local Ollama model to draft SQL, run it, and produce a cited report. All features, including single sign-on, RBAC, ER diagrams, and the AI assistant, ship under the MIT license with nothing gated behind a paid tier. It runs in the browser and on phones, Windows, macOS, and Linux, and offers installation via Docker, npx, Helm, Homebrew, Snap, winget, and deb/rpm packages, as well as public demo instances with OIDC and JWT login. It is listed as a supported client in the official documentation of PostgreSQL, Redis, ClickHouse, MariaDB, Trino, and Apache Cloudberry. For ClickHouse users specifically, it offers one of many alternative GUI clients capable of connecting to and managing a ClickHouse instance alongside other database engines already in daily use.
